Application Instruction:
Granular Ground Application:
Sprinkle over and around the areas deer damage is happening.
Apply 2 times in first two weeks – once week after that for maintenance. Allow one week for full effect to be delivered after initial application.
Hanging Sachet Application:
15 sachets will cover up to 1/2 acre for up to 60 days.
150 sachets will cover up to 5 acres for up to 60 days.
Both coverage quotes state WHEN APPLIED AS DIRECTED. Allow 1-week for hanging sachet to take effect.
For faster results on granular or sachet repellents, use Nature’s Defense All-Purpose Granular Repellent. (Which also says allow 1-week for it to take effect.
From the manufacturer’s website: Stated coverage area is correct “when applied as directed”.
Regarding Advertised Test Results
Competitor’s repellent application was tested for 1-day. Nature’s Defense was applied and tested for deer consumption for 1-day. Yet the instructions clearly stated that you must wait 1-week for results to be in effect. This is in direct conflict with effectiveness claims on the purchasing pages of the manufacturer and other retailers of this product.
Properly conducted scientific research is studied and recorded over a period of some weeks. All brands of repellents used in the studies are noted by name. Out Out Deer does not feel that the testing or the report is unbiased in comparison with those done by different universities and the USDA in the past ten years.
