Regarding
Advertised Test Results
Competitor's
repellent application was tested for 1-day. Nature's Defense was
applied and tested for deer consumption for 1-day. Yet the instructions
clearly stated that you must wait 1-week for results to be in effect.
This is in direct conflict with effectiveness claims on the purchasing
pages of the manufacturer and other retailers of this product.
Properly
conducted scientific research is studied and recorded over a period of
some weeks. All brands of repellents used in the studies are noted by
name. Out Out Deer does not feel that the testing or the report is
unbiased in comparison with those done by different universities and
the USDA in the past ten years. Compare them for your own informed

In areas that there are no shrubs or trees to hang repellent bags on,
simply place them on a post or prop.
Rain and wet weather actually enhance the repellent in the sachets. Bags will withstand extreme weather
conditions and last approximately three months.
No messy spraying and constant reapplication. Based on USDA Forestry
Service testing this product would be best used in winter. See link
provided in user comments below.

found when I hung the bags up as directed, the bags were promptly
ripped down and chewed up by raccoons. Since the directions on the

Application
Instruction:
Foliage
must be dry at time of application. Allow 1 hour drying time before
rainfall or irrigation. Heavy rain may make reapplication necessary. If
your yard has heavy deer pressure, it may be necessary to reapply more
often than recommended over the growing season. This formulation works
well in winter. Winter applications should be fine at 100 day intervals.
Shake
well and mix according to label direction with water. Spray leaves and
stems of plants to be protected from all sides to the point of run off.
**
Every 2 inches of new plant growth does require further spray
applications to protect young foliage from deer browsing. Most people
reapply to young foliage every 2 weeks during the active growing season.
